Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium

The Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium (SBMC), is a consortium founded in 2021 by KTM, Honda, Piaggio and Yamaha, with the mission to accelerate the deployment of swappable battery systems in electric vehicles, promoting sustainable mobility to improve the quality of air and reduce carbon emissions.

Within six months the consortium has quickly grown to 21 members, including Atex Industries with the Xener division, which decided to join it given the shared values, engaging in the development of lithium batteries for the group.
